The Night VFR rating adds an entirely new dimension to your visual flying. Having a Night VFR permits you to fly at maybe times more convenient to you and the rating will expand your flying skills, including the use of navigation aids (NDB, VOR and GPS).
The training involves 5 hours of circuits which includes 2 hours solo, 6 hours of simulator training to develop IF and navigation skills using the NDB, VOR and GPS and 6 hours of navigation (normally two flights) plus the flight test (3 hours). The flight Examiner test fee is added to the course.
